<p>By the way, <a href="http://malawi.worldcupblog.org/team-news/malawi-coach-kinnah-phiri-fired.html">FAM (Football Association of Malawi) fired Malawi National Team Coach Kinnah Phiri</a> on 12 January 2013. Last week FAM appointed Bullets FC coach Eddington Ng&#8217;onamo as caretaker coach and also appointed  former Malawi National Team players Earnest “Wire” Mtawali and Patrick “General” Mabedi as his assistants. <a href="http://malawi.worldcupblog.org/team-news/malawi-coach-kinnah-phiri-fired.html/comment-page-2#comment-80642">The three are yet to be offered the contractual Terms Of Reference</a>. FAM President Walter Nyamilandu knows that time is of the essence. The caretaker coaches need to be offered the TORs forthwith! &#8220;<em><a href="http://malawi.worldcupblog.org/team-news/malawi-coach-kinnah-phiri-fired.html/comment-page-2#comment-80893">We cannot go beyond next week. We don&#8217;t have enough time</a></em> (to prepare for the match against Namibia).&#8221;</p>
<p>The Flames&#8217; last match was a <a href="http://malawi.worldcupblog.org/team-news/afcon-2013-south-africa-vs-malawi-friendly.html">friendly against South Africa</a> on 12 December 2012. </p>
