BURKINA FASO 2 GUINEA 1: MALAWI ALMOST IN ANGOLA
Burkina Faso Just beat Guinea 2-1 earlier today.

Group leaders make it to 2010 World Cup Finals (South Africa) and the Africa Cup of Nations (Angola). The second and third placed teams make it to Africa Cup of Nations (Angola). Malawi and Guinea are fighting for the final Angola spot. If both will lose/win on November 14 then Malawi will clinch the final spot. If Malawi will lose and Guinea will draw then Guinea will clinch the final spot. A Malawi win will be an automatic qualification.
If Côte d’Ivoire were yet to clinch the World Cup spot it would have been a given that they would beat Guinea on November 14, 2009. However, since they have already clinched the World Cup spot I don’t think Drogba and the other experienced players will play. Already, Drogba came in as a substitute on the 64th minute yesterday when Côte d’Ivoire and Malawi drew 1-1 (Click here to watch the goals) On paper, Côte d’Ivoire are favored to beat Guinea on November 14 but be reminded that football is not played on paper. How many people predicted that Côte d’Ivoire would not beat Malawi yesterday?
The Flames should not depend on Côte d’Ivoire to do them favors (Don’t forget the French connection). They should go to Burkina Faso with only one thing in mind: a win. After all, Burkina Faso have already qualified for Angola so I don’t think they will feature their experienced players.
It’s not time to celebrate yet.

Malawi flames destiny is in their hands. They are the ultimate decider at the end of the day. They cannot afford to wait for favors.YesI remember the french connection.I hope we beat Burkinabes then we can start off celebrating regardless of the result in Ivory Coast.Goodluck Flames!

Amalawi omwe akuganiza kuti tapanga kale qualify azakhumundwa ngati mukwatibwi wokhumudwa. We need to beat Burkina Faso at all costs.

The point we earned yesterday will prove to be vital.

Ivory Coast may give the game away on humanitarian grounds.

I read elsewhere that the Coach said we won’t have any problems beating Burkina Faso. Didn’t they beat us 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium?

All I can say is that I have seen crazy things happen in sports. Sometimes there is nothing you can do about fate. For example, Tampa Bay Bucks’ last game at home (last season) against the Oakland Raiders. A win would have sent the Bucs to the play-offs. The raiders were one of the worst teams in the NFL so everybody favored the Bucs to win. What happened? The Bucs lost.
“To be 9-3, and you lose four in a row when all you have to do is win one and you’re in, it’s tough to swallow. The guys in this locker room have prepared hard, played hard. Things haven’t gone our way.” – Warrick Dunn

“Tilindedi kuti madzi apite ndiye tizanene kuti tadala” Indeed we have not yet qualified for ANGOLA. There are so many things going on in peoples minds about the situation of Guinea and Malawi. Someone has talked about the French connection. We do not have to rule it out. The Ivorians may just give the game away so that their neighbours qualify. Malawi has been in such a situation before where we were so close to qualifying and yet we fail at the last huddle. To Burkina Faso we need to go and win. A draw may not be good enough for us in case what happended to Ghana in Benin happens to Ivory Coast in Abijan. So what we need is a win nothing less.

Malawi being the team that nobody gave a chance to progress will produce wonders as it will upset the Burknafaso team come November 14. However this will not come on a silver platter the country need to give the Flames all the support neccesary. The team need financial sponsorship to atleast camp in Europe as this is a do or die game and the best the country do is support the team now!

YOU FORGOT ANOTHER SCENARIO THAT WILL SEND GUINEA THRU:
GUINEA DRAWS AND MALAWI LOSES.

Flames will make it and all well known teams will be amazed. Go flames we are behind you please make wonders.
