The Malawi Flames dropped 5 spots from 103rd (February) to 108th in the March FIFA Rankings.

Here are some of the reasons why Malawi Flames dropped 5 spots:

1) Lost to Mozambique on February 11, 2009
2) The following teams moved ahead of the Flames:

China PR…………………….105……………………….100
Korea DPR………………….. 119……………………….107
Cape Verdes…………………107……………………….105

The above listed National Teams may have played and won a number of games last month. Please note that there are lots of factors involved in calculating the rankings.

If the Flames are going to beat Ivory Coast on March 29 Am sure they will go up about 5 places because Ivory Coast are a strong opposition.
