Thanks Edgar.

Kaluba, will you be travelling from Nigeria to Zambia just to watch the game? Good luck finding the Malawi/Rwanda game online. For now you can take this from somebody who watched the game "live":

GB :Am writing from here in Malawi, and the match between Malawi and Rwanda was interesting. Rwanda played well in the first half and according to the commentator, the team plays fast football with some swift passes, and could split the Malawi defence, but only for poor finishing. That is the major weakness of the Rwandese. I hope FAZ sent an spy to watch the match

Edgar, On May 14 negotiations with an undisclosed West African side were yet to be concluded.

Let me put it this way, you are offered two equal positions, one from Company A and another one from Company B, do you reject offer from one of the companies before the other company hires you?

I like your website. Where will Malawi rank if they win the games against Burkina Faso and Guinea in June (Ceteris Paribus - All other factors remaining equal).

sscouser, that article was published on May 8th.

This article: http://www.dailytimes.bppmw.com/article.asp?ArticleID=13171 was published on May 14th.

The news of the friendly game against the West African side was a relief to coach Kinnah Phiri who was reluctant to play Lesotho.

“I am satisfied with the arrangement. The two games are enough for us to fine-tune ahead of the qualifier.

“Initially, my fear was that playing Lesotho would not help us at all. But since we will also play another friendly against the West African side that’s even much better,” he said.

Edgar, are you talking about the Malawi/Lesotho friendly?

Lesotho had expressed interest to play a friendly against Malawi but Kinnah (The Flames' coach)had put his foot down arguing that playing the Southern African country would yield no results.

“Honestly speaking I don’t see any gain in playing Lesotho. They will not help us at all. We need to play West African countries who will give us a good measure of our performance,” Kinnah said.

That's the last update.

What was the outcome of the friendly against Lesotho?

Do you have an official match report or at least semi-official? :)

Thanks?

I can foresee Algeria asking a friendly against Malawi before they also meet Zambia later this year. Rwanda are playing Malawi because Malawi and Zambia are from the same region and pretty much they play the same style.
