Uganda 2 Malawi 1
Umony inspires Cranes’ Malawi win in a friendly game played at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, Uganda.
The Flames play Drogba and Ivory Coast (World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifier) in Abidjan on March 29th. The Flames to surprise The Elephants? Anything can happen in football. Here is proof.

The Sunday Vision:
“The notable crowd that turned up at Namboole Stadium yesterday certainly did after watching Bobby Williamson’s side overturn an early deficit to condemn a star-studded Malawi side to a 2-1 international friendly match defeat.”
Star-studded Malawi?

Malawi is without four of their professionals who are serving suspensions and are injured.Their top goal scorers did not even play and the Sunday Times talks of a star studded team?Yes we lost the game but the Sunday Times of Uganda should get their facts straight before reporting.Remember Malawi had just lost a friendly to Bafana before playing DRC.We win when it counts, watch!

Ugandan people are really cowards, do how can you call the Malawi soccer team B, star studded?

Whether or not Malawi played Team B or without 4 professional players they were still star-studded. They had a lot of professional players in the squad. On the other hand, Uganda had only three professional players. Umony, our star, plays for our local club.

Incase you didn’t know..half the Malawi team will be returning back to Malawi from Uganda. The rest will proceed to meet Team A Malawi in Ivory Coast.

Please give credit where credit is due. Our team beat your team that is going to play Ivory Coast. We also read Malawi Online Papers. It seems I know more about your squad than you do:
Flames squad for Cote d’Ivoire: Swadick Sanudi, Charles Swini; defenders; Elvis Kafoteka, Jacob Ngwira, Allan Kamanga, Peter Mponda, Wisdom Ndhlovu, Clement Kafwafwa, Moses Chavula. Midfielders; Peter Mwenda, Peter Mgangira, Hellings Mwakasungula, Tawonga Chimodzi, Joseph Kamwendo, Fischer Kondowe, Robert Ng’ambi, Davie Banda. Strikers: Atusaye Nyondo, Chiukepo Msowoya, Jimmy Zakazaka.
Uganda bound squad: Goalkeepers: Swadick Sanudi, Charles Swini; Defenders; Elvis Kafoteka, Allan Kamanga, Wisdom Ndhlovu, Harry Nyirenda, Chikumbutso Kanyenda, Jacob Ngwira. Midfielders: Peter Mwenda, Peter Mgangira, Clement Mvula, Davie Banda. Strikers: Atusaye Nyondo, Chiukepo Msowoya, Peter Wadabwa.

So which Team B are you talking about? It’s either you are a Math major who can’t read or you are an English major who can’t count. The only other players not listed above that will join the Flames In Abidjan are Peter Mponda and Clement Kafwafwa.

In response to “OMUKAS”article namely are the Malawi pros that missed the friendly in Uganda..Russel Mwafuliwa based in Sweden,Essau Kanyenda based in Russia,Clement Kafwafwa based in Denmark,Peter Mponda SA based,Joseph Kamwendo SA,Hellings Mwakasungula SA,Tawonga Chimodzi SA,Fischer Kondowe SA,Robert Ngiambi SA and Dan Chitsulo Germany based.

Ugandan journalists are upbeat by the most trivial thing. Yes we beat Malawi, so whats the noise for. We are giving the coach too much praise. People like Omuka dont really realise that Malawi missed the services of several formidable players…ask Egypt then you will have your answer. By the way does Omuka really know the difference between professional and…he seems to me to have graduated from Jinja Junior primary. Hey we have so many universities now, open your eyes and do more schooling.

Katigondo, please stop fronting. You are not from Uganda. Your comments have “Malawian” written all over them. My point in my previous comments was that Malawi were star-studded. What does “star-studded” mean? Let’s wait for Sunday and compare the line-ups. To my knowledge only about 5 of your professional players (in the Ivory Coast Squad) didn’t make it to Uganda. As I already stated before, we only fielded 3 professional players.
If you are from Uganda then it seems you haven’t been following what has been going on. Didn’t win CECAFA this January? Didn’t we beat Sudan (in Sudan) 2-0 two weeks before we beat Malawi 2-1? We are giving the coach too much praise?
